I'm told this triceratops' name may or may not be "Cliff", so everyone say hi! It's the only really good picture I got, since I'm terrified of the butterfly garden and could barely walk through it, let alone stop to take close up pictures. That's my second time in there now, and I was really hoping I would be better about my fear. Oh, well.
After a lightning show, butterfly garden, museum exhibit halls, an Omni show and browsing the gift shop, we decided we would walk over to the Prudential instead of take the T. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and there were sailboats all over the Charles River, so it was totally worth the two-mile walk. When we got there, Ben insisted we have ice cream, which was perfectly cool with me, and then dinner with Kevin and Owen, which turned into "walking all around town with Kevin and Owen until 11pm going to different places and bars".
Getting up early, even on weekends, is a recent habit of ours, so when Saturday came, we were up at 7:30am with basically nothing to do. Ben got his offer letter for his new job last week, so per his promise of earlier, it was time for him to get his own iPhone (so that he would leave mine alone). We hit the mall when it opened and got the phone and a case, did some other errands involving food shopping, and then I had to go with my mother to do some stuff for a while. After that, Saturday was dedicated to watching "24" and hanging around, ending with dinner out at the Fox and Hound.
Sunday was pretty humid and sweltering for a while, so at about 3pm, Ben decided that he really wanted to take a picnic to the beach. We live about a 1 minute drive from the beach, so this was a pretty easy affair. There were more people there than usual (obviously), but it was nice to just sit in the sun and read for a while.

Other cool (or not so cool) things that happened this weekend:
1. Laura Staley sent me a return mail gift!
2. A big water main is Weston sprung a leak, so we have to boil all of our water until further notice. That will probably be over today or tomorrow.
3. Finished Season 3 of "24". Hooray!

Uncle Ben, you REALLY should put your shirt back on. It's NOT GOOD.
YAY! Thanks for the mention! Say hi to Owen for me! Also I have to agree with the above post. Ben is looking pretty pale, maybe you should hold off on the photos until he gets his bronze on. Too bad about the butterflies, I got some AMAZING photos in the garden at the Smithsonian. Are you just afraid they'll land on you?
Oh, he always looks like that. All year, even in the summer. He'd probably burn to a crisp if he tried to tan at all.
Yeah, I have an irrational fear of most flying-type bugs, especially moths. That sort of carries over to butterflies. I know almost all bugs I will even encounter are harmless, but they still freak me out...
It's OK to be jealous, guys. It's a natural response when confronted by such concentrated man.
Wow. That's hard to believe.
When I get there, I will take off my shirt. Then you can see how a chest is supposed to look. I am going to count my abs. I think I have six. Three on each side.
So PWNED!
Maybe we can play soccer when I get there. But you have to keep your shirt on.
